Here's some more pics!

Playing on the swingset.

Shayli reading on the swing. Isn't that a great spot to read?

Fire fun... as you can see, we still have lots more clean up to do in the yard. :)

Shayli and Dad in the partially done tree house. It's going to be one seriously cool tree house and really big! We already have some teenage friends wanting to rent it out. Ha!

Rad and Mom enjoying the fire

I found a couple of old bags of stale marshmallows stored away in the cupboard and Rad had a BLAST throwing them into the fire and watching them melt.

Don't we look awesome after Derrick's first long weekend home? Right! We were SO tired.

Grandpa Bob's hot rod in the 50's parade. His flame shooting hot rod was by far the most entertaining car in the parade although there were TONS of cool cars.

Derrick hard at work in his shop.

Dad and Rad at the fire

Shayli helping Rad blow bubbles. Rad LOVES blowing bubbles. This day, I think that he ate most of them though.

Pics, Pics, Pics

Here is one of the foot prints made by "the bear" on the truck.

This is a picture of the refridgerator that was behind our shop until the neighborhood bear threw it into the yard and tore it apart. Derrick stood it back up when he got home and says he'll fix it... it's pretty much all unhinged though.

Pics from Alaska

Crazy Alaskan House

Derrick took so many pics while in Alaska, here are a few...

He ate so healthy while he was away. Ha!

He's such a hard worker. Check out those knees! Those were brand spankin' new pants when he left!

Awesome View!

His sweet concrete work

We're back!

Man oh man! When I went off line with my blog for a bit I did not intend for it to be for so long! But the Hanson's are back and hopefully I'll be able to do a much better job staying up to date.

Derrick is home! He flew in on the Saturday of Mothers Day weekend. It is so good to have him back. What a difference he makes in our home. He is really loving being back too. He's been keeping busy with Mud Bogs, building some more on his 4Runner project, building the tree house that will start out as Shayli's, doing yard work and just enjoying the family.

Shayli is almost done with the 5th grade! She made the all A honor roll last quarter... 1 of 5 5th graders in her school to do so. She so very smart, so very sweet and we're so very blessed to have such a great girl... daughter... step daughter and sister in our family. She's been playing lots of tetherball at school. We have a tetherball pole in our yard that she plays on. She practiced a lot over the three day weekend because she wanted to be able to beat a girl who "ALWAY'S" wins. When I picked her up from school on Tuesday she was pleased to announce that she had beat the girl once that day. Yay for Shayli! It was neat to see her so proud of herself for something that she worked so hard for. She's growing like a weed as you can see from the new pics on the blog.

Rad is growing too. He still loves trucks, dinosaurs and books. He does something new every day and has to show us all. He yells "Ma! Da! Li!" (Mom, Dad, Shayli) so that we can all see this new trick. We had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago when he woke up in the middle of the night feeling awful. Derrick and I took his temperature and it was more than 105 degrees. So we called the er, got his temp down to the 102's and took him to the doc the next day. We've taken him off of dairy as the doc thinks that he's allergic. It has made a huge difference. I've felt like his speech has been slow in developing too and the doc said that because his ears are so clogged with the dairy allergy he can't hear so well. So taking him off of dairy should help with that too.

For those of you who haven't heard, the baby on the way is a boy. Finn Solomon Hanson is what he'll be named. Finn is a name that Shane recommended and Solomon is one of the greatest guys that Derrick and I know. Finn is super active and we're all so excited to have him join our family.

I'm doing well. As of May 1st I've just been a stay at home mom and wife. No more driving to Montana to work. The lack of income has really tightened our budget but its been so worth it. I feel so much better, much less stressed and everyone seems to be happier with the change.

As a family we've had lots of fires in the fire pit in the back yard. We had a lot of trees and branches fall during the long winter so we've been burning those. Having so many mini fires in the fire pit has been great for my s'more cravings. :) It was lost in the 50's a few weekends ago and we had such great weather. We always love 'Lost in the 50's" weekend. Last Saturday we headed to Moyie Springs Idaho where they have the big mud bogs in the spring and fall. There was an invite only bog last weekend where some of our friends camped all weekend. There were about 6 or 7 other families there and despite the yucky wether we had a nice time. I wish we would have camped though.

Geez- there is so much more going on but not enough time to type about it all today. So I'll just post some pics and try to have a new post every week.

♥ ya all and we're so glad to blogging again!
