<3

I just love my family.

On Christmas Eve we sat around and colored. It was a blast!

Cade was not so sure what to think of Lilly.

Cade just adores Grameri.

Radley received a dirt bike and some riding gear for Christmas. He did not want to take off his gear once he put it on.

On Christmas Eve a bunch of the cousin's played out the nativity as one of the Elders read out of the Bible. Cade was supposed to be a sheep but was a very sad sheep instead.

Cade and Rad are so funny. They wrestle and play and snuggle. Super adorable

Cade likes to bowl with wii. It is so funny to watch. He brings the controller back all the way behind his back, it doesn't look natural, then he swings it in front of him and grunts. Very Funny.

We're so glad when daddy comes home....

Tomorrow is the big day! Daddy comes home! Woo Woo!

The boys are both feeling much better.

The other day I ran downstairs and when I came back up Rad was standing on the bed (I was washing the bedding) in his underwear, with my hat on striking this pose in the mirror. Cracked me up, it did.

We have all love playing Mario Kart on the Wii. Even Cade enjoys it. Rad thinks it's "the funnest game ever!" Rad and I both have a hard time staying on the road when there is a drop on either side. Rad calls it falling... because ya fall. However, we were driving on some nasty roads the other day and Rad kept yelling from the back seat "MOM! Don't fall!" or "MOM! We almost just fell!" I swear I'm a safe driver but he sure had me paranoid. :)

Shayli is so excited to have just one more day left until Christmas break and call me a crazy parent but I am excited to have her home all day!

Hmmm... they totally look liked slouched couch potatoes here; Promise they're not.

He gets to come home!!!

Yay! Derrick will be home next weekend! I am so excited that he will be home for the Holidays! He has only been gone for 2 months but it seems like SO much longer! So much has happened since he left. He wasn't even home when we purchased our property and now the house is almost done! I CAN NOT WAIT! Derrick is such an amazing man. Really truly he is. I am so thankful for who he is and how hard he works for our family and for how much he loves me. He is my best friend and love of my life. The pictures that I am posting here are of him in his work get up these days. He has been working outside in 80 mph winds. What a trooper!

YAY!

Sick Sick Sickeroo

Shayli is such a spectacular girl. I couldn't have asked for a more amazing step daughter. She is working so hard to get the grades that she deserves. She is putting 100% effort into a school that she dislikes so much and Derrick and I are so proud of her.
She is so much fun too! It has been SO freezing cold here. So cold that we were all thinking that they might cancel school. I was hoping that they would! Shayli and I have been having so much fun together playing board games and Mario Kart on the Wii and doing crafts and baking that I just wanted her to have some extra days to add to the weekend so that we could play play play! I just love that girl.

I just love Derrick's family, really I do. His Mom is such a sweet, kind, gently and caring lady. His dad is such a kick in the pants. I love him. He had a heart attack and heart surgery a few weeks ago and is bouncing back quite well. This is a picture of Rad and Papa Wayne playing with a neat-o toy Grandma and Grandpa Hanson gave him.

Rad... oh Raddle Daddle... On Friday Rad spiked a fever out of nowhere. Then he started into this nasty nasty cough. The cough was so horrible that he had a hard time breathing all Friday night. He was totally fine, not even a runny nose up until Friday afternoon. So I took him in to see the doc on Saturday morning. I actually called and gave them his symptoms and they had me there in 10 minutes. He was diagnosed with the Croup, given some steroids, no big deal. The steroids did not help for long though. So I took him in again today and he has Croup even worse now, an ear infection in each ear, an eye infection in each eye and a sinus infection. Man oh Man. Did you know that the average child between birth and their 4th winter gets an average of 14 viruses between September and April of every year? Yikes huh?

Cade has an ear infection in each year. He has had the runs for so long that his rear is raw. Poor little guy. For having two ear infections he has been quite cheerful. I took Rad to the doc today and the doc decided to check Cade too just to be on the safe side. That is how we found out about the ear infections... I really had no inclination that his ears were bothering him.

Cade was never a blanky boy until recently. The kid is hilarious with his blankets now. He wants to wear them on his head and then wrap the rest of the blanket around his body. It really is quite adorable.

One of his other new tricks is to walk or crawl backward. The funniest is when he dances (he loves to dance) he does a few moves, then walks backwards until he runs into something, then turns around and dances some more and then repeats the walking backward move. He sure is an adorable little boy.

Our home is almost done!

Just a few more weeks! I was able to go check it our the other day and Cade loved it! He ran around with a huge smile on his face.

For Shayli- We love you!
