Boys

This is our access road. We take this road to get to the barn when the boys want to go on a "bike ride". It's not very far but I'm still not riding real bikes yet since surgery. This way I can walk.
Cade's bike does not have pedals. He pushes himself along and is working on his balance.
I love this face of Rad's.
Cade scored this Smokey the Bear bandana at the fair. He loves it and looks awfully cute wearing it.

Rad

Rad and I went on a "date" a bit ago. We had a blast. We went to TriplePlay and played arcade games, played a round of mini golf and raced in the go carts. Then we did some Costco shopping and just had a blast all day. I am so grateful for such a sweet little boy. He is growing oh so quick. I love him so very much and am proud of the person he is becoming.

He was quite the bowler! Look at that chain of tickets he was winning! ☺
Costco Pizza. He ate almost that whole slice. He saw this picture and thought it was so funny that the pizza was the same size as his head. haha.
I wish that I could have recorded the sound of him whooping and hollering while playing this off road game. So fun!
He loved this street bike game.

 First day of 1st grade.
His first spelling test. He aced it! We are working on the backward S's.
While walking through the produce section at the grocery store the other day Rad says, "Wow Mom! Look at those huge lemons!" No son, that is a pile of Spaghetti Squash. ☺ I bought one, took it home and cooked it up. I realized how many vegetable are out there that we have not tried. So I am going to start letting the kids pick out a new veggie to try. I'm hoping that they will become lots more excited about eating them.

Nothing in Particular

The boys and I went to the first home football game here on Friday. It was really a lot of fun.
What a goofy boy

I really think that I want an Alpaca or two...

Crafts

We love doing crafts in our household. The boys really enjoy sitting at the table with a bunch of trucks and craft paint giving their trucks a makeover.

Some of our most recent crafts are painting rocks with crayons and making bowls out of yarn and glue.

The rock project was the favorite. We found some nice rocks in the driveway, put them on a cookie sheet covered in foil and baked them at 225 degrees. When we took them out we colored on them with crayon and the crayon melted and looked like paint. It was really neat and a project that we will do again for sure.

The other fun craft was our yarn bowls. It involved lots of yarn, lots of glue and plastic balls.  Rad and Cade ended up with yarn wigs. Shayli's turned out great though!
