Another week down... 5 more to go?

Hopefully if all goes as planned Derrick will be home on the 18th of December! Yay! We are all so excited.

He is doing well in Cold Bay. There is not a whole lot for him to do there but he has met some great people. One couple in particular has been so great to him. They feed him and he can hang out over there and today they sent me pictures of Derrick. The one that I am posting of him is one that they sent today. I am so thankful that Derrick has a job, and the job that he has and I am so thankful for people like Shane and Molly who befriend Derrick like they have. It helps me not to worry so much about him while he was gone. Our Heavenly Father has really blessed us a ton this last year and I am so thankful.

The rest of us are doing great. We are still living at Grameri's and Grandpa Bob's. My mom is doing well after spinal surgery. She is still really sore but man oh man. My mom is one amazing lady. The recovery from this surgery is not easy but she has been so positive! I've enjoyed spending the time with her that I have. This afternoon I straightened her hair for her. It was fun. I was such a brat growing up that I never took a chance to do things like that then. I'm thankful for the opportunities that I have now.

WE ARE GOING TO STATE! I like how I say WE when really it is all about Shane and the rest of the BULLDOGS! Valeri... valerikidd.blogspot.com has a lot of great pictures from the game yesterday. Shane did so well and we won! It was freezing but I am so glad that the boys and I went. I took a chair and the double stroller and we camped out just behind one of the endzone's to watch. I have really enjoyed watching Shane play this year. The last time that Sandpoint High School went to state was my Senior year in 1997. Jared played on the team and I was fortunate enough to be on a student council retreat in Boise when and where the game was. I really hope that I can see this state game too.

The kids are doing well. Shayli is getting straight A's and she has really worked for them. We are so proud of her. We picked up Isa, her dragon, yesterday. She will meet her on Wednesday when she comes home. Rad and Cade have been playing together a lot more. It's fun to watch.

Our home in Paradise Valley is coming along. We should be able to walk through it the week of Thanksgiving. I can't wait!

Cha cha cha changes...

Well we are now out of the house that Derrick called home for most of his life. All three of his kids learned to crawl and walk there. It was more emotional for me then I expected to close the door for the last time. However, I have been back to the house to visit to the friends of ours that purchased it and they seem really happy there. I am glad.

While our house continues to be built we are staying with Grameri and Grandpa Bob. We are very grateful to them. My mom had surgery yesterday, all went well, and I am looking forward to being so close during her recovery.

Jared, Mike&Candi and Papa came up last weekend for one of Shane's football games. It was so great to have them here! The only thing that would have made it better would have been to have Heidi&Ben, Samantha, Andrew, Mary Kate, Amy, Tavin and little T here too.
