Happy Bday Raddle-Daddle!

Mr. Rad is 2! We didn't do a whole ton for his bday. Grameri, Grandpa Bob, Uncle Shane, Aunt V and Uncle Mike came over for Steak, Salmon and some cupcakes. It's crazy that he's already 2... man oh man, time really does fly as you get older. We love you Radley Wayne!

Shayli is 11! Can you believe it? She is such a beautiful girl. We're so lucky to have her in our family. Hope you had a great day Kidd-o!

Fun Vacation Week

We had a ton of fun visiting our friends near Seattle last week. We were there from the 13th to the 20th and had an absolute blast. It was so nice to not have to worry about bed times or meal times, we ate when we were hungry and went to bed when we were tired. It was so nice to not have a time schedule for a week. Here are some of the fun things that we did that week...
We went to a place called Penrose State Park (?) and it was a beach on the Puget Sound that had the greatest shells, crabs and just fun to look at. It was way relaxing and so pretty.




We were lucky to all fit in the Till's Tahoe but there were a few times that I got pretty car sick... thank goodness for Derrick's shoulder to lean on. :)

Pretty Mel had not problem with the car sickness... :)

We took a ferry ride (Rad and my first time) and Rad loved it! He loves the beach and the water. Shayli had so much fun doing whatever we were doing as long as she was with the boys. Those three sure had a lot of fun together.




We also went to a place... I can't remember what it was called, but it had a neat boat like bunker thing with a couple of cannons and it was right on the water which I loved. The dad's had a seaweed fight... check out their backs. I hurt for them, but they of course thought it was SO FUN!





We also did lots of school shopping and we went to the drive in's. We saw the Peine's and their neat place. We hung out with some of the Till's friends on Whidbey Island and did all kinds of fun stuff. We ended the week with Shayli's bday having a lot of fun at the Family Fun Center.







There is so much more to type but Rad is already telling me that we have to go and I have two more post to do!

Happy Late 4th!

I've got to make this one quick because Rad is already telling me it's time to go. We had a really fun 4th! We started out the day in the parade. Grandpa Bob let us drive the '27 and it was SO much fun! Derrick and I loved it. Rad wasn't so excited about Grandpa's flames and backfires. It was so funny to watch people on the side of the road jump though. Derrick and I laughed our heads off. In this pic you can see how much fun Derrick is having and how much Rad did not like the noise.

After the parade we drove around looking for property and ended up in Moyie Springs where some of our Mud Bogging buddies were camping. Then we headed back to Grameri's for dinner and then headed out to Cocolalla for a great fireworks show. One of the big fireworks that shot out a bunch went crazy and started shooting our direction. Again, we laughed so hard. It was a good day.

It's been pretty warm this week. On Tuesday I took the kids swimming at the beach...



I have my 10 year high school reunion on Saturday. It will be fun to see a lot of old friends... after 10 years I guess they're getting to be old people too huh? :)
Then on Sunday we head out to visit some friends is Seattle. We are looking forward to a nice relaxing time there. Shayli will celebrate her 11th birthday while we are there and Rad 3 days later on the 22nd. They're growing so quick! Check back for birthday pictures in a week or so.
