SO NORTH IDAHO

We hit up Monster Jam a few weekends ago. Anybody else feel like they want to jump when they get up somewhere high? Didn’t think so… Ima creep. We ended up buying the cheap seats this time around and ended up sitting in the second row from the top. My arms were seat belts around Cade and Rad during the whole show. I’ll definitely fork over the extra cash for close to the floor seats next time. The boys were pretty darned cute in their lil “ear bugs” as Cade calls them. The boys wore their riding jerseys and had them autographed by the “pro” quad riders. They thought that they were SO cool.

Last weekend Melanie and I hit up the big city… Spokane. (Come on people, I live in Bonners Ferry, ID). We had a blast. We shopped from 8 in the AM to 9 in the PM. We bought everything from home décor to body piercing. My man and boys hung out with Mel’s man and boys at the Gun and Horn show in Sandpoint. They had a blast. Rad and Cade each bought a pocket knife. Derrick made them as dull as possible and then they had a blast trying to cut through the newspaper.

A few weeks ago I graduated from ‘Hunters Safety’ with a 95%. I can now legally get a hunting license in Idaho. (The longer this post gets, the more redneck I sound). I really enjoyed the class though AND I was a super shooter. I left the bank every night that week and headed straight to Hunter Safety with my fancy pants and my hair done and my nails did. I got a lot of eye rolling from other adults in the class… mostly because the other adults were only there to chaperone their 10 year old boys in the class. Anyway, when I ended up being such a super shooter I ended up surprising the heck out of a lot of people. Take that!

Another super Idaho outdoorsy thing that I did lately was help to deliver baby goats! Yes, I did. It was a neat experience, but mostly, I was just thankful that I wasn’t in labor too. Watching that poor mama in labor made me have flashbacks of my own natural birthing experiences. How I did that without meds is beyond me.

Other than that… life is pretty normal. I am taking this new class on “mindfulness” every Wednesday for now. Tonight I am learning meditation and yoga. I will fill ya in on that later.

Rad is getting more and more excited about racing his dirt bike this spring.

Cade is getting closer to using the big potty… HE HAS TO BE!

Shayli is super girl with a sinus infection.

Derrick is the best and I love him loads.
